Our actions

The Tour du Valat conducts numerous research and management projects on Mediterranean wetlands within its five Themes: Species Conservation, EcoHealth, Management and restoration of natural and agricultural ecosystems, Wetland dynamics and water management and Science & Society Interfaces (learn more). These projects are most often carried out in partnership with research centres, universities, natural site managers, and associations.

These activities take place in the Camargue, throughout the Mediterranean Basin, and sometimes even in countries beyond this region, in the framework of specific projects for which the Tour du Valat has internationally recognised expertise.
