The Tour du Valat travelled to Paris on June 24 for a day of meetings and workshop-debates on the European Solidarity Corps (find out more).
It took advantage of this opportunity to present its ‘Save the Mediterranean Wetlands’ project in the ‘Environment’ category.
This day of meetings enabled participants to:
- Promote the various actions of the European Solidarity Corps among new organisations and youth;
- Reflect on issues of mobility and European contributions to the development paths of young people;
- Enable young participants to express themselves and showcase their exemplary trajectories and local projects.
The Tour du Valat has been actively participating in this European programme for several years, by welcoming numerous young students who have a passion for the environment and ecology as civic service and European Solidarity Corps volunteers.
From France or other EU countries, these volunteers are fully integrated into our teams, and have participated actively in various Tour du Valat missions to study and protect Mediterranean wetlands since 1954.
