The 2017 lecture in the cycle of annual talks on conservation biology, started by the Tour du Valat to pay tribute to the work of Heinz Hafner for the conservation of waterbirds and wetlands, was held on 16 November 2017 at the Tour du Valat.
Frédéric Thomas, Director of Research at the CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research), gave a talk entitled “What ecology, evolutionary, and conservation sciences can teach us about cancer,” which was followed by a productive exchange of ideas with the audience.
