This article was published in the Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment journal. It deals with the results of the cost-benefit analyisis of several agricultural practices, regarding the management of rice fields in Camargue (southern France) during the winter period.
It shows that post-harvest flooding of the rice fields is always the most beneficial practice, wether it be economically speaking for the farmers, of for the society as a whole.
