iFrom 29 June to 3 July 2026, the Society of Wetland Scientists (SWS) – European Chapter will hold its 21st conference in České Budějovice, Czech Republic.

Under the theme ‘Functional Wetlands as a Part of Landscape Hydrological Connectivity and Resilience’, this international meeting will bring together scientists, managers and students.
The programme includes plenary sessions, oral presentations, scientific posters and field trips to explore the peat bogs, floodplains and restored wetlands of southern Bohemia.

Call for contributions
Students and young researchers are particularly encouraged to submit proposals for presentations.
Deadline: 29 March 2026
Contributions may take the form of oral presentations, short papers or posters. Travel grants are also available to support the participation of young researchers.
