Tour du Valat Foundation is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg project « Wetland4Changе », under the Interreg Programme « Euro-MED ».
Objective
The objective of the Interreg project « Wetland4Change » is to develop and validate transferable solutions based on wetland conservation and restoration for climate adaptation and mitigation, in order to enhance the capacities of policymakers in the Euro-Med region to address the climate crisis at both local and national levels.
Missions
The volunteer will be carrying out communication and implementation activities:
- Support the design and the development of the methodological approach to be used to assess the flood regulation ecosystem service provided by Mediterranean wetlands;
- Help transfer the « Flood Regulation ES » assessment tools to all relevant stakeholders identified in the five target territories;
- Participate in discussions on the development of technical solutions for assessing the capacity of Mediterranean wetlands to sequester carbon and GHGs;
- Contribute to the development of a web-GIS platform for the dissemination of all results and solutions provided by the Wetland4Change project to assess « Flood Regulation ES » and « Carbon Secquestration ES » provided by Mediterranean wetlands;
- Participate in the dissemination and valorisation of all Wetland4Change’s products;
- Contribute to the visibility of the host organisation in Euro-Mediterranean countries by becoming an ambassador for wetland conservation.

Financial support of: 32 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Arles, France
Start and duration: March, for 6 month(s).*
Languages**: English (C1), French (B2), Other Mediterranean language (A2) is also desirable
*The termination date of the volunteering agreement depends on the conclusion of the IVY initiative, currently set for 30 June 2025. If the IVY initiative is extended, the volunteering mission may continue for a maximum total duration of six months.
**Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.
