Our teams have studied the antimicrobial resistant bacteria carried by two gull species in the Camargue. They discovered that the chicks of the species that can live in cities, the Yellow-Legged Gull, can carry bacteria capable of resisting to antibiotics that are only used in hospitals: carbapenems.
