Mosquito control and wetland biodiversity in images

Is it possible to control mosquitos with no significant effects on biodiversity? Students at the MoPA Computer Graphics Animation School [1] have made a brilliant short film that provides a response to this question.

This short film was made in an educational partnership with the Tour du Valat by students (Axel Sence, Florian Gomes Freitas, Adèle Sypatayeva et Benjamin Guigues) at the MoPA Computer Graphics Animation School [1] in Arles.

To learn more about the Tour du Valat’s current project on the impacts of mosquito control in the Camargue, be sure to visit this page [2], and also read the latest results [3] of our current research based on a ten year study in Europe and abroad. A special report [4] on the impacts of using Bti was recently published. Finally, you can download the Tour du Valat’s position paper [5] about this issue.

By supporting the Tour du Valat, you can contribute to conserving wetlands! Every donation, however small, can make a difference!

Donations help us study nature and continue our efforts to better understand and protect it.

The Tour du Valat works to conserve these areas between land and water which are abundant in biodiversity… and yet one of the most threatened ecosystems on the planet!

You can help us by making a donation to our health ecology research programme by clicking here [6]!
