After testing voluntary environmental contracts in Mediterranean wetlands with the Interreg WetNet project, the Interreg Tune Up project<\/a> tested the contracts in 8 of Europe\u2019s Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas (MPA). The lessons learnt and the methodology is now being diffused through a free e-learning site<\/a>\u00a0and through regional seminars.<\/p>\n

On March 8, the Tour du Valat, in collaboration with the Mediterranean Conservation Society<\/a>, put in place a seminar for local stakeholders working in two MPA along the Mediterranean Coast of Turkey.\u00a0 The stakeholders learned about the Tune Up experiences from the pilot sites that could be used to improve the governance in Turkish MPAs.<\/p>\n
