We were happy to welcome the public again on Sunday February 6, 2022. Once again, many of you (more than 630 people!) came to attend a conference, taste our wines, walk in the Tour du Valat nature reserve or maybe even all three!<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Raising awareness among all generations of the need to preserve wetlands in the Camargue and elsewhere is one of our objectives during our open day organized on the occasion of World Wetlands Day (WWD)<\/a>. This year, the theme was “Acting for wetlands is acting for humanity and nature”<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On this beautiful Sunday in early February, visitors could enjoy several stands<\/strong> and animations<\/strong> throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/td>\nTwo foodtrucks<\/strong>, the Roulotte gourmande and Seltz et limone<\/a> were present to prolong this privileged moment in the middle of our domain.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

\"\"<\/td>\nStands welcomed visitors to inform them on how to adopt a flamingo<\/a> and on the Przewalski horse with the Takh association<\/a>, but they could also taste and buy wines from the Petit Saint-Jean vineyard where the Tour du Valat<\/a> is experimenting with innovative agriculture (more information<\/a>).<\/td>\n\"\"<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Cyril Girard<\/a> (\u00e9ditions Mediterraneus<\/a>), author-drawer and Jean Emmanuel Roch\u00e9, photographer, offered signing sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/td>\nIt was possible to take free tours on the estate<\/strong> to discover marshes and birds from the observatories of Rendez-Vous and Saint-Seren or prefer a guided tour<\/strong> “Regard sur les paysages de Camargue” animated by Patrick Grillas, former scientific director of the Tour du Valat was proposed in the morning.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
Visits<\/strong> on the theme “Energy rehabilitation of the Luc Hoffmann building”<\/em> by Nicolas Beck<\/a>, head of buildings, energy and waste of the Tour du Valat domain were organized throughout the day.<\/td>\n\"\"<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/td>\nAt lunchtime, several speakers exchanged with visitors in a discussion area to present the nature professions<\/strong>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
An animation on the aquatic habitats of the Camargue<\/strong> in the “fish” laboratory was appreciated by all.<\/td>\n\"\"<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The youngest visitors could again this year take advantage of the fabric punching workshop<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time, a treasure hunt<\/strong> for all generations combining orienteering and riddles led by CiTy<\/a> was a great success.<\/p>\n

Finally, the two conferences<\/strong> proposed during the day are now available here in replay (in French):<\/p>\n
