{"id":35763,"date":"2022-02-01T15:23:45","date_gmt":"2022-02-01T14:23:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tourduvalat.org\/?p=35763"},"modified":"2022-02-01T15:25:46","modified_gmt":"2022-02-01T14:25:46","slug":"online-course-monitoring-breeding-waterbirds-in-mediterranean-wetlands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tourduvalat.org\/en\/actualites-en\/online-course-monitoring-breeding-waterbirds-in-mediterranean-wetlands\/","title":{"rendered":"Online course &#8211; Monitoring breeding waterbirds in Mediterranean wetlands"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Online course is OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS &#8211; February-March 2022 iteration<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The first iteration of Tour du Valat\u2018s four-week, online course on <strong><em>\u2018Monitoring breeding waterbirds in Mediterranean wetlands\u2019<\/em><\/strong> is now open for <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/dNvGcKkz6WrAkEFe6\">applications<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This course is designed for wildlife or habitat managers, students, academics, researchers, ornithologists, experts from Mediterranean countries with some experience with counting birds.<\/p>\n<p>The course will introduce you to subjects such as why we should count colonial waterbirds during breeding season, or how to proceed with counting colonial waterbird limiting disturbance, with many practical tips and advice from experienced ornithologists. In this online course, we will also explain how to proceed to import field notes into a database.<\/p>\n<p>It has been prepared by Tour du Valat\u2019s team with the support of <a href=\"https:\/\/wetlandbasedsolutions.org\/\">Wetlands based solutions<\/a>, Fonds fran\u00e7ais pour l\u2019environnement mondial and Agence fran\u00e7aise de d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n<p>This course is in English and free of charge. For this first iteration, the number of participants is limited to 25 participants. Please register <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/dNvGcKkz6WrAkEFe6\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Consider that you will need to dedicate 3 hours\/week over 4 weeks to complete the course. You will be able to progress online at your own pace. You will have the opportunity to interact online with the experts in a forum and during two online meetings.
