It was a propitious moment to measure how far we have come, but also to acknowledge the challenges that lie ahead.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, the vision and commitment of Luc Hoffmann, one of the founding members of WWF International, and the founder and long-time President of WWF France, were lauded. Before others, he made a steadfast commitment to what would become one of the key challenges today: the necessary reconciliation between People and Nature (<a href=\"https:\/\/tourduvalat.org\/en\/fondation-tour-du-valat\/luc-hoffmann\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">learn more about Luc Hoffman<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The partnership between WWF France and the Tour du Valat began in 1975 with the construction of an artificial islet for protecting the population of Greater Flamingos in the Camargue (<a href=\"https:\/\/tourduvalat.org\/en\/actions\/dynamique-populations-de-flamants-roses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">learn more<\/a>).
