Research interests and expertise
- Plant ecology, plant community dynamics, long-term monitoring
- Restoration ecology and conservation biology
- Aquatic plants in Mediterranean wetlands
- Wildlife-plant interactions
- Research applied to conservation and wetlands management
Current and past projects conducted at the Tour du Valat
- I have developed considerable knowledge about Mediterranean wetlands in France and in the Mediterranean Basin (the Maghreb, the Balkans, and Turkey)
- Aquatic plant ecology and wetlands
- More than 30 years of research on the structure, dynamics, and management of wetlands
- I have applied scientific knowledge to the management of different types of wetlands including rivers, temporary ponds, coastal lagoons, and oligotrophic marshes in France and in the Mediterranean Basin
