The CEPF meets at the Tour du Valat to launch its second phase of investment

In 2009, the Tour du Valat hosted the meeting that finalised the Mediterranean ecosystems profile, which would open the path to 5 years of investments by the Critical Ecosystems Partnership Fund (CEPF) in favour of Mediterranean biodiversity through its support for a civil society organisation.

After this first successful phase, the CEPF has decided to commit to a second phase of investment that will last five years and mobilise $8.5 million.

Almost 9 years after that initial meeting, the Tour du Valat hosted a meeting of the CEPF Mediterranean Advisory Committee from 12 to 14 March in order to discuss and shape the priorities of this second phase of investment, which will focus on 5 major themes: plant protection, the promotion of regional networks, and the preservation of three key biodiversity ecosystems: coastal ecosystems, freshwater habitats, and managed landscapes.
