Séminaire sur "Spatially balanced designs for natural resource areas"

Lundi 5 octobre à 11h, Meghan Williams (Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Canterbury, Christchurch, NZ) présentera à la Tour du Valat un séminaire intitulé « Spatially balanced designs for natural resource areas: the application of GRTS sampling for statistically rare populations in Southland, New Zealand and Ossau Valley, France ».

This seminar will provide a brief overview of generalized random-tessellation stratified (GRTS) sampling as a flexible alternative to spatially random and traditional grid designs. We demonstrate the design approach and analysis for : i/ regional invasive plant assessments in terrestrial Southland (New-Zealand) and ii/ river species (Dipper Cinclus cinclus and Desman Galemys pyrenaicus) in the river network of Ossau Valley (France).
